The 2024 Tiriac Open Bucharest is one of a triple header taking place during the week of 15-21 April, 2024 alongside the Barcelona Open and BMW Munich Open and returns to the calendar for the first time since 201`6. The draw has now been confirmed with Francisco Cerundolo as top seed.
Named after the former player turned billionaire businessman, Ion Tiriac and also Ilie Nastase. Two of the biggest names ever to come from Romanian Tennis at least from the men's side of the sport, it will return to the calendar for 2024. Former champions include David Ferrer, Fernando Verdasco, Gilles Simon and Grigor Dimitrov.
Others involved alongside Cerundolo include Tallon Griekspoor, Sebastian Korda, Alejandro Tabilo and Mariano Navone. Ties include Luca Nardi v Thiago Seyboth Wild. As well as the Drip battle between Denis Shapovalov and Corentin Moutet who combined on a rap track of that name and also Nuno Borges v Stan Wawrinka. With no tournament since 2016, there is no defending champion in the field.
