Carlos Alcaraz was unable to defeat Jannik Sinner in the spectacular final of the Six Kings Slam, the exhibition tournament organized in Saudi Arabia. At the end of the match, both players mentioned their growing rivalry and the possibility of many more finals in the future.
The Six Kings Slam proved to be a success once again, and they owe it in part to the fact that the best tennis players on the circuit staged an epic final in which they held nothing back.
After the exciting final, Carlos Alcaraz had the opportunity to say a few words of thanks to the organization and also to his now classic rival:
"I wanted to finish in a better way but well, I've really enjoyed every second I've played here. I have enjoyed my stay here in Riyadh. I honestly wish to come back to this city, I've had a great time," said the Spaniard.
About the rivalry against Jannik Sinner, being both No. 1 and No. 2 in the world ranking and with so many years of career ahead of them, Alcaraz was expectant for the future:
"I hope so. I will train as hard as I can to be up there, I'm pretty sure Jannik will be up there. I think I will try to give my best day by day and hopefully this rivalry will grow and get better year by year."
"I also want to say that I am grateful to have him [Sinner] on Tour. As I have said many times, his presence motivates me to go beyond my limits, to always give my 100% and be a better player. It's always a pleasure to go out on the court with him, sometimes it's hard to enjoy it in the moment but it's great every time we play against each other."
No. 2 also had some sincere words of thanks to those responsible for carrying out the magnificent exhibition:
"I also want to thank the organization for making this event possible. Last year and this year bringing together the best players in the world. So thank you very much for everything you have done for tennis and I hope to see you soon."
