Zverev Rome Open 2021
Alexander Zverev lost the first two sets but won the next three to complete the comeback against Oscar Otte at the Roland Garros.
It was a sensational display from Zverev in the final three sets of his 1st round matchup versus Oscar Otte whom he defeated 3-6 3-6 6-2 6-2 6-0. Zverev played bad tennis the first two sets against an opponent who played without pressure. Otte did not think much and that sort of style won him the first two sets with 6-3 against an uninspired Zverev.
PIn the 3rd set we saw the proper Zverev who came out with a sense of urgency after dropping the first two sets. Playing much more aggressively and more focused Zverev was able to smash Otte for a quick 6-2 win in set number 3. A pretty much identical effort came from Zverev in set number 4 which he won with the same result.
Otte was starting to feel fatigued as his reactions were slower as well as his movement. He was not hitting the hard as strongly as before and Zvereve was able to literally blow him off the court.
It was even more evident in the final set which Zverev won with 6-0 in just 23 minutes. A good effort from Zverev to avoid an embarrassing loss against a qualifier who does not even favour clay.
