Alexander Zverev certainly had an interesting Friday with the World No.4 reaching the final of the 2024 French Open for the first time after defeating Casper Ruud. His domestic abuse trial also got settled in Berlin and he was affirmative with his stance on being asked about it going forward.

Zverev has dealt with questioning and allegations on the issue since 2020 when his ex-girlfriend Olya Sharypova came forward with her side of the story. But since then, his ex-partner Brenda Patea who also is the mother to their daughter together filed a penalty order. It was settled though out of court with the unsettlement of their daughter cited as a reasoning.

But for Zverev, he has spent the past few years getting asked about it and so for him, he wants a line drawn in the sand on it and wants to move on. He said that he is innocent and the dropping of the case shows that and sent a message to all journalists never to ask him about it again.

"I told you so from the start. I told everybody. I'm happy that it's over. Yeah, nothing else more to say. That's it. Four years. I'm happy about that," he replied.

“On that, Sascha, any reservations on your part that you came to a settlement and that you didn't have a chance for the court in Berlin to say that you were innocent of all the charges?" he was further asked.

“That's what dropping the case is. That is innocence. They're not going to drop the case if you're guilty at the end of the day. I don't know what translations you have, but that's what it means. Done. We move on. I never ever want to hear another question about the subject again. That goes out to everybody," he concluded.

Zverev says he never wants to hear another question about his domestic abuse case ever again “Quite a day for you. I imagine given the announcement this morning regarding the legal process that's been terminated, I'm curious if you could sort of share your thoughts about sort of…
