Alexander Zverev keeps on playing tennis in hopes of building up that confidence that is missing from his game and it was a good start in Geneva.
The German faced
Christopher Eubanks in the second round and he proved better than the American who isn't used to playing that much on clay. It was pretty clear early on that Zverev has a huge advantage in the rallies as he cruised to a 6-2 finish in the opening set. Eubanks wasn't able to stay with Zverev committing far too many mistakes.
On return, Eubanks failed to create a lot of pressure on Zverev as the German's serve was working really well. Zverev didn't drop a single point behind his first serve going 12/12. Much of that good play continued in the second set though this time around he lost points behind his first serve and actually faced a break point as well.
He saved it so there was no harm done and broke his opponent twice to win the match in two sets. A really strong performance from Zverev with the somewhat faster conditions really playing in his favour, especially with the serve.
