Former top 20 player Hyeon Chung is planning to make a return at the Ilkley Challenger hoping to do well in the Wimbledon qualifiers and make a return at the major.
The former Australian Open semi-finalist has been dealing with injuries for a long time. It completely destroyed his momentum at a time when he was dramatically rising, even reaching the top 20. It's hard to predict where Chung would have ended up had he not gotten injured but he's still hoping to return to tennis.
The Ilkley Challenger is an event where he'll play as well as the Wimbledon qualifiers which could be his first major in years if he manages to qualify. He's been playing tennis sporadically but in order to get back to the sport he'll need to start playing consistently and not just play but rather win.
