Germany’s tennis star Alexander
Zverev's girlfriend joked about him getting a haircut in Tokyo.
The 26-year-old is currently in
the Japanese Capital city
where he will be taking part in the ATP 500 event, starting next week.
Zverev and his girlfriend Sophia
Thomalla roamed around the city on Tuesday and the latter ended up posting a
picture of the former, asking him to get a haircut from a salon right in front
of him. "It could be so easy [laughing emoji]," she wrote.
The current world number 10 will
be hoping to bounce back from a poor outing in the Shanghai Masters when he
takes the court in Tokyo.
Zverev was knocked out of the ongoing
ATP 1000 event after losing to Russia’s Roman Safiullin in straight sets with a
score of 6-3, 6-1.
That result seriously dented the
hopes of the Hamburg-born of playing in the ATP Finals which will be played.
Zverev had a mixed year at the
highest level where he played in the quarterfinal and a semifinal in four Grand
Slams.
His
best outing came in the French Open where his journey eventually ended after
losing to Norway’s Casper Ruud in the last-four clash with a score of 6-3, 6-4,
6-0.
