Andy Murray made a brilliant winning start at the
Hall of Fame Open in Newport beating Sam Querrey in straight sets.
Following the win, Murray talked with the media admitting that it's great being back here and it certainly won't be the last time. The tennis hall of fame is not far away and each year legends of the sport get inducted into it. Murray's time will come sooner rather than later but for now, he enjoyed some more grass tennis here:
"It's obviously amazing to be back here and playing on this court again after 16 years. A lot has happened in that time: four kids, married and all that stuff. But I'm happy to be back."
Speaking about the match, Murray admitted it was difficult but you would never know that judging by the score:
"It was so breezy and really difficult... but we're doing the best we can given the conditions. Any match that I get to play now I try to make the most of it. I've obviously had a lot of issues with injuries the last four or five years. You never know how close you are to the end, but I'm aware I'm getting towards the end of my career so I make the most of every match and every tournament I get to play now."
