The final has been set for the
Hall of Fame Open in Newport with
Kevin Anderson set to take on Jenson Brooksby in what is likely to be a quality affair.
Anderson who has been in good form this week on a favoured surface in grass saw off top seed, Alexander Bublik 4-6, 7-6(3), 7-5 coming from a set down to win through.
It is a first ATP Tour final since January 2019 for the South African who will face a Next Gen home hope in the final.
That being Brooksby who saw off Jordan Thompson 6-3, 7-6(3) outlasting him in a tiebreak to win through and continue his similarly great run on home soil.
It is a first ATP final for the American who continues to rise at only the age of 20 going into the US Open swing where he is bound to be a focal point but who will come out on top?
