Andy Murray will be the factor that propels Novak Djokovic to his 25th Grand Slam title in the view of tennis experts Laura Robson, Alex Corretja and Mats Wilander as they made their views clear ahead of the 2025 season which starts at the start of next week.

Djokovic will play in Brisbane which begins on December 29. Whilst Murray isn't currently expected to be there in Brisbane, they have since had a training block together so they could yet decide to team up for the first time next week.

Robson in particular is perhaps more wishful thinking saying that he has to win one due to the Murray factor as he looks to finally reach the record. "Yeah. He’s got Andy Murray as his coach, he’s got to win a Slam," she said to Eurosport.

A view shared by colleagues in Wilander and Corretja albeit more just belief in his chances over the Murray of it all. "Novak Djokovic will win another Grand Slam is my prediction," said Wilander.

"He can win any of them," chimed in Corretja. Tim Henman also was of the belief that Djokovic would win the Australian Open on the men's side. While Wilander sees Murray as being one of the greatest coaches of all time in high praise before he has even began his career.

Albeit having the canvas of Djokovic to work on is a wonderful first assignment to have. "Andy Murray is starting a new career and he’s going to be one of the greatest coaches of all time," he said.

In their final bold prediction of the year, Corretja said that he would like the relationship to come full circle after Djokovic 'stole' so many majors off Murray that they have that moment together on court.

"I would like Novak to win one more major and share a nice moment with Andy after he’s stolen so many majors off him," he concluded.
