The United Cup will kick off the new year in Sydney and Perth, opening the 2024 season as it thrills local fans from December 27 to 5 January, 2025
A mixed-gender event, the United Cup is a collaboration between the ATP and WTA. Stars from each governing body are scheduled to compete at the 2nd edition of the event. Team Germany sealed a pretty incredible tie against Australia in the final.
Among those involved this year include Taylor Fritz with Coco Gauff, Hubert Hurkacz and Iga Swiatek as well as Stefanos Tsitsipas and Maria Sakkari. Jasmine Paolini and Flavio Cobolli anchor Italy.
Defending champions Alexander Zverev will team with Laura Siegemund again, while Alex de Minaur is joined by Olivia Gadecki in teams that go from the top two down so there is opportunities for certain players to be stars.
Elena Rybakina, Karolina Muchova, Leylah Fernandez and Katie Boulter also represent their country.
The United Cup will feature a total prize money fund of $15,000,000, which will be split evenly between the ATP and WTA players. The prize money will be based on an individual’s and their team’s performance, in addition to a participation fee being doled out Below is the prize distribution.
