The Antwerp
European Open starts on Monday with a mixed schedule of play as both the main draw and the qualifications take place.
The European hard court indoor season continues with the Antwerp European Open and its first day will have a mixed schedule of play. The first part of the day will be reserved for the remaining qualifier matches to determine the final participants of the main draw. The second part of the day will feature 3 matches from the main draw which will signal the official start of the event.
The first match of the main draw will be an interesting affair between
Feliciano Lopez and
Tommy Paul. The veteran is still kicking around and playing events despite lack of any real success. Tomorrow is a good chance as Paul is coming off a clay swing in Italy. The 2nd match is also an interesting one as Francis Tiafoe will play
Dusan Lajovic. It will be a good indicator match to see both players as both of them will play their first matches in these conditions.
The last match of the day will be between Kimmer Coppejans and
Ugo Humbert. The native Belgian crowd will get so see a native player perform and it should draw some viewers. Humbert has played well in Russian and he will look to continue the good run.
