For the first time since 2002, the
Hong Kong Open will return to the calendar and the
draw has now been confirmed ahead of action taking place between 1-7 January, 2024.
Headlined by
Andrey Rublev, he will take on either a qualifier or Pedro Cachin in the second round. His likely hardest test not coming till the latter stages with the ever improving Arthur Fils in the same section and facing Borna Gojo then a qualifier if he wins that tie.
As well as Rublev, his friend Karen Khachanov is in the draw and faces Emil Ruusuvuori or Benjamin Bonzi in the second round. He sits in the same section as Lorenzo Musetti.
Jan-Lennard Struff is in one of the ties of the round on paper when he faces Marin Cilic. Laslo Djere faces rising Chinese ace, Juncheng Shang. While
Frances Tiafoe is the other big name as he takes on Miomir Kecmanovic potentially second round who faces a qualifier with the American receiving a bye through to the second round.
It takes place during the same week as Brisbane on the ATP side and WTA as well as Auckland in the WTA and the conclusion of the United Cup.
