On Saturday, the semifinal battles will kick-off at the 2020 ATP Finals as only 4 players remained to battle for the final trophy of the year.
In the first match of the day, the winner of the London 2020 group, Dominic Thiem will take on the runner-up from the Tokyo 1970 group, Novak Djokovic. Over the years, they have built already a solid history of matches and the younger Austrian is no more an outsider as he used to be in the very beginnings.
Their overall H2H score shows 7-4 for Djokovic. However, excluding all of the matches before 2017, when Thiem managed to win only 1 set in 4 matches, it is Austrian who leads this statistics 4-3 and became a big threat for the Serbian.
Another semifinal match will also see a battle of the next generation with a member of the Big Three. Daniil Medvedev, who seems to be unstoppable at the moment, will take on Rafael Nadal who advanced as a runner-up. The Russian is currently on an 8-match winning streak and he will try to extend that to at least 10 and win the title in London.
