The 2020 ATP Finals finals won't see any of the top two seeded players or teams neither in singles nor in doubles.
Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal entered the 2020 ATP Finals as the first two seeded players in singles and Mate Pavic and Bruno Soares and Rajeev Ram and Joe Salisbury entered it as first two teams in doubles. However, none of these reached the final of the 2020 ATP Finals.
In the doubles 2020 ATP Finals final, the seventh-seeded Jurgen Melzer and Eduard Roger-Vasselin will take on fifth-seeded Wesley Koolhof and Nikola Mektic. Both teams topped their group, and it will be their first meeting on the ATP Tour.
In the singles final, the story will be similar. It will be two players that were dominant in their groups who confirmed their form in the semifinals and will play also the final. Dominic Thiem and Daniil Medvedev met already 4 times on the ATP Tour, with Austrian winning 3 matches. This time, Medvedev seems to be in a very good form and will mean a very big danger for Thiem who will play his second ATP Finals final in a row.
