Sky Sports Italy reported the news during the ATP Finals that there will be an extension on the current contract until 2027, with the current contract running until 2025.
It has hosted the season climax since 2021, with the contract initially signed to move from London in 2019. This has also seen comments about the difference between the ATP and WTA.
The ATP of course have the future of the tournament now sewn up it seems, while for the WTA, they still are unsure where it will be held, with Saudi Arabia potentially on the table.
This after the disaster in Cancun with organisational issues plaguing the final. Something which in the indoor hard court season ender in the ATP has not been the case.
With Jannik Sinner too potentially set to anchor Italian tennis going forward, it is likely good news for him too as he will play on home soil if he qualifies for the next few years.
