After determining the bonus pool recipients, the total 2024 prize money for ATP stars has been finalised. Jannik Sinner tops the ranking, approaching $20 million, while Alexander Zverev ($11.5 million) and Carlos Alcaraz ($10.3 million) complete the podium.
The prize money ranking doesn’t necessarily align with the ATP rankings. Bonus pools were created to improve player earnings, promote equity, reward strong performances in Masters 1000 and ATP 500 tournaments, and recognise those who adhered to the minimum tournament participation requirements.
One player who benefited from a strong finish to the season was Arthur Fils. He secured a bonus as the top performer in ATP 500 tournaments (with two titles), earning a significant portion of the pool. He received $615,000 in bonus money on top of the $2.4 million he had already won in direct prizes.
Another interesting example is Nicolas Jarry, who finished the year in the world No. 35, but was 16th in the bonus pool distribution, playing in his favor his great performance in Masters 1000 (reaching the final in Rome Open), which meant a prize of $359,000 dollars; a considerable increase of the $1.8 million that he had gotten so far (totaling almost $2.2 million).
Novak Djokovic was not among the top bonus pool beneficiaries, primarily due to the limited number of events he played: just nine tournaments (the four Grand Slams, four Masters 1000, and one ATP 250). Djokovic finished 8th with $4.4 million in earnings.
Andrey Rublev, however, ranked just above Djokovic despite earning “only” $4.1 million in direct prizes. Rublev was boosted by $1.4 million from the bonus pool, surpassing Djokovic to reach nearly $5.6 million.
This year, 10 players surpassed $4 million in on-court earnings, 17 earned more than $3 million, and 28 exceeded $2 million annually, including the bonus pool. Below, find the top 30 prize money leaders and the top 30 players who earned the most from the bonus pool.
