With the conclusion of the French Open, Jannik Sinner remains at the top of the ATP Race to Turin while Carlos Alcaraz sees a significant gain in points thanks to his Roland Garros title. The eight players who were leading before the tournament continue to hold their qualifying positions, while Novak Djokovic finds himself outside the qualifying zone for the ATP Finals.
Italian Jannik Sinner debuts as the new world No. 1 this week, bolstered by his semifinal run and Djokovic's withdrawal in the quarterfinals. Sinner has held the lead in the Race for most of the year and now maintains a comfortable lead with 5,300 points after the year's second Grand Slam.
Alexander Zverev, the Roland Garros finalist, had a chance to defeat Alcaraz, leading by two sets to one, but ultimately finished as the runner-up in a Grand Slam for the second time in his career. Nevertheless, he added 1,200 points to his tally, following his title win at the Rome Open two weeks earlier. Zverev holds a solid second place with 4,385 points.
The Roland Garros champion, Carlos Alcaraz, earned 2,000 points, which helps him overcome an inconsistent season. The Spaniard missed several tournaments, including the Barcelona Open, Monte-Carlo Masters, and Rome Open, due to injury, preventing a higher ranking. However, he now has 3,900 points, bringing him closer to Zverev.
aCasper Ruud, the fourth semifinalist in Paris, lost to Zverev after leading by one set and could not replicate his finals appearances from 2022 and 2023. The Norwegian has 3,435 points after a strong clay season, moving ahead of Daniil Medvedev, who was eliminated in the fourth round and has 3,150 points.
Stefanos Tsitsipas (2,465 points) and Alex De Minaur (2,255 points) occupy the sixth and seventh spots, respectively, both reaching the quarterfinals at the French Open. Tsitsipas was defeated by eventual champion Alcaraz, while De Minaur lost to finalist Zverev.
Andrey Rublev rounds out the top-8, despite a disappointing third-round exit against Matteo Arnaldi. The 25-year-old had a strong opportunity to go deep in the draw, especially after winning his second Masters 1000 title at the Madrid Open a few weeks ago.
Grigor Dimitrov (2,075 points) and Novak Djokovic (1,860 points) are close behind. Djokovic has spent much of the year outside the top-10 in the Race, and his quarterfinal finish in Paris adds valuable points but still leaves him outside the qualifying zone for the Finals. The 24-time Grand Slam champion recently lost his world No. 1 ranking and will miss the entire grass season, including Wimbledon.
