The ATP Race to Turin is entering a critical stretch with the North American hard-court swing and Casper Ruud, Cameron Norrie and Denis Shapovalov are closing in.
The ATP Race to Turin has been a very entertaining thing in 2021 as many players have made significant leaps in their careers making the race more interesting than most years. Usually, there is a clear understanding each year of who the top 8 at the ATP Nitto Finals will be but this year the picture is not so clear.
The top 7 are: Djokovic, Tsitsipas, Berrettini, Rublev, Zverev, Medvedev and Nadal. That group has a clear lead over the trailing players but the 8th spot is up for grabs. Currently, it's occupied by Casper Ruud but the Norwegian is closely followed by Hurkacz, Karatsev, Norrie, Shapovalov, Sinner and Carreno Busta.
All of them have played almost career-best years and all except Ruud have an excellent hardcourt game. With a critical part of the season coming up it will be fascinating to see how the battle unfolds. Check out the ranking below.
