ATP Ranking Update: Jannik Sinner enters tenth week as World No.1 as Korda, Popyrin and Arnaldi surge

Jannik Sinner will begin his 10th week as World No.1 as the Canadian Open concludes on Monday with the ATP Ranking being updated for a new week.

With the Canadian Open being concluded on Monday, the ranking still gets updated week-to-week so any further changes will be concluded after Cincinnati for the finalists in Montreal.

Sinner though who is out of the tournament has overtaken Marat Safin in terms of weeks as ATP World No.1 and now has Boris Becker next up. He is in 20th place all time with 12 weeks as World No.1. He has also secured a longer reign with Djokovic's Cincinnati points set to drop. His current lead is only 310 points.

Carlos Alcaraz sits adrift 510 points behind Djokovic and 820 of Sinner and will have to defend final points this week from Cincinnati. Andrey Rublev is up to sixth after reaching the final in Montreal. While Hubert Hurkac has dropped to seventh. Casper Ruud and Grigor Dimitrov have moved up. Alex de Minaur couldn't defend his runner-up points this week so falls to 10th.

But those who had success in Montreal including Sebastian Korda, Matteo Arnaldi, Alexei Popyrin all benefit. The American who reached the semi-final is up into a new career high of World No.15. Arnaldi and Popyrin surge to 29th and 30th respectively. The latter could yet become World No.22 if he wins the final.
