Amanda Anisimova will be flying high in confidence in reaching the Canadian Open final. But with more eyes on her has come scrutiny in particular after stating her ambition to become World No.1 and win a Grand Slam. But the American shut it down effortlessly.

Anisimova will face Jessica Pegula later this evening in the final in Toronto. But she faced weight jibes and trolling for stating her ambition still burns bright to achieve a particular goal. One social media user told her to lose weight to achieve that goal. But instead of ignoring the tweet, she responded.

“I still hopefully have many more years left in my career, and there are many goals that I have for myself that I want to accomplish throughout my career,” she said earlier this week.

“Like a small one for this year was to break into the top 100, and I've already done that, so I'm really happy about that. It's just small steps in the right direction to hopefully achieve the things that I want to be able to achieve, like winning a Grand Slam, and becoming No. 1 one day, so, yeah, I just, I hope that with all the training I do and staying healthy I can get to that point.”

But these comments seemed to irk one person who decided to troll Anisimova saying to stop eating like a cow. “First things first: Stop eating like a cow,” they wrote. When called out they tried to offer reason why: “Why? She wants to be world No. 1 player and win a GS. Being overweight as a professional athlete doesn’t really help her reach her goals.”

But Anisimova instead of ignoring it or flying off the handle savagely shut the troll down. “Don’t you have anything better to do than comment on a 22 year olds body?” the former world No. 21 replied. “Like do you have a job or friends ? Damn dude, trust me, I’m okay and I don’t think anyone here is asking for your advice lolz.”
