Andrey Rublev and Denis Shapovalov reached their career maximum in the ATP Ranking while Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal remain in the fight for no.1 spot.

While Andrey Rublev was successful at the 2020 Qatar Open in Doha, Denis Shapovalov was the hero of his country in Australia. Shapovalov showed his great talent again when he defeated Tsitsipas and Zverev and lost to Djokovic just in the tie-break of the third set.
In the ATP Ranking, Shapovalov is currently no. 13 what is his career-high. He is also the best player under 21 years, followed by no.21 De Minaur and no. 22 Auger-Aliassime. Rublev moved by 5 places to become number 18 in the ATP Ranking.
The battle for spot number 1 remains really close. Rafael Nadal became the first player to be world no. 1 in three separate decades. Novak Djokovic would like to add his second decade as a no. 1 but he was still not on 1st place in 2020. Currently, Djokovic is 515 points behind Nadal. At the following Australian Open, Djokovic has to defend 2000 points, while Nadal just 1200 and so things will get even more interesting.
