It is a very wide open women’s Wimbledon draw. Following the
demise of some of the best players in the world, a golden opportunity has
arisen for an opportunistic tennis player to challenge for glory. One of the eight
names competing today will be in the final, but first they need to get into the
quarter-final. Roland Garros semi-finalist Marta Kostyuk gets events started
against Ashlyn Krueger who has lost just one of her 17 matches on grass this
year. Marie Bouzkova and Elise Mertens clash with a blockbuster tie between
former finalist Jasmine Paolini and Alexandra Eala a highly anticipated clash. The
only former Grand Slam champion in action is Madison Keys who takes on the
