Taking place between June 29 - 12 July, the prize money has been confirmed for the 2026 Wimbledon Championships which sees the top names duke it out in the penultimate Grand Slam tournament of the season in both ATP and WTA.
Jannik Sinner and Iga Swiatek are defending champions this time around at SW19 seeing off Carlos Alcaraz and Amanda Anisimova last year. the latter in a thumping 6-0, 6-0 win. Sinner and Swiatek both return this year.
But Alcaraz will not, he is out injured. So the men's field will be led by the likes of Alexander Zverev who is the recent champion at the French Open as well as Novak Djokovic.
In the women's draw, it will be led by Aryna Sabalenka, Elena Rybakina, Coco Gauff, Jessica Pegula, Roland Garros winner Mirra Andreeva among others. Serena Williams also makes her singles return aged 44.

Players protest over prize money

The men's and women's champions will each earn around £3.6million which is a marginal increase from last year. But as protests have shown, it is still not enough to keep the wolves from the door when it comes to player protest.
Players have pledged to boycott interviews and both press conferences and on-court to only 15 minutes maximum in order to get the point across surrounding revenue share and the rise or lack there of in terms of prize money in their mind.
