The ATP Rankings have been updated after the French Open, as Jannik Sinner remains the undisputed king of men's tennis ranking-wise despite losing in the final to Carlos Alcaraz.
Alcaraz won an epic five-set match against Sinner to defend his title successfully. He came from two sets down while saving three match points.
Alcaraz defended his points from last year and he retains World No.2. Sinner is more than 2,000 points ahead of the Spaniard despite losing to him and could further extend his lead ahead of the US Open. Alcaraz has to defend Wimbledon in the coming weeks, if he manages to do that he could technically have a crack at Sinner going into the back end of 2025.
Lorenzo Musetti despite heartbreak again managed to show himself to be one of the leading lights of men's tennis. He reached a second major semi-final losing to Carlos Alcaraz and now is World No.6. He earned 700 points after losing to Alcaraz. While Tommy Paul in withholding honour for American men's tennis reached his first Quarter-Final in Paris.
There he lost against Alcaraz in straight sets. However his run to this point saw him get back into the top 10 at World No.8. Jack Draper also rose again.
Draper dazzled on clay and now has further rewards.

Losing in the fourth round, he still managed to rise to World No.4. A new career best for Draper who returns home to the UK to play Queen's next week. He will be the focal point of the British grass court summer.
Casper Ruud also dropped out of the men's top 10 after his loss to Nuno Borges in the second round. he lost 750 points and is now World No.16. Alexander Zverev also dropped 900 after not recapturing a final spot but with Novak Djokovic unable to win through, he held on. But there is storylines set up for the next few months now and Draper could further rise again.
