The ATP Rankings have been updated with a new face inside the top 10: American Ben Shelton makes his elite group debut, currently commanded by Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz, who hold a significant lead over the rest.
Others who saw changes include American No. 1 Taylor Fritz – who advanced several positions after claiming his first title of the season at the Stuttgart Open. The affected? Jack Draper and Lorenzo Musetti, who experienced slight drops in their rankings prior to Wimbledon.

Grass-Court Shifts: Fritz Rises, Draper & Musetti slip

For many stars, the first week of the grass-swing was a transition week, with players like Alcaraz, Sinner, and Draper staying out of competition to prepare for the first major challenge starting this week. At the ATP 250 Stuttgart Open, Fritz (No. 4) and Zverev (No. 3) met in the final, with victory going to the American – who defeated the German for the fifth consecutive time. Fritz advances three positions and returns to world No. 4 in the ATP Rankings, while 'Sascha' still maintains a comfortable lead of almost 2,000 points ahead. Reaching Wimbledon in the top 4 would be an important incentive, as it would avoid facing Sinner or Alcaraz – at least – until a potential semifinal.
While Fritz moved up, Jack Draper and Lorenzo Musetti dropped a couple of positions. The Brit was not in competition – as he prepared for the Queen's Club Championships this week – and fell from the top 4 to No. 6. He will have a chance this week to regain his spot in the top 4. On the other hand, Musetti suffered an unfortunate injury at Roland Garros and there are even doubts about whether he will be in good physical shape for Wimbledon. He has no competitions scheduled in the coming weeks.

Shelton's Top 10 breakthrough and other movers

Additionally, there's a new member in the top 10: 22-year-old American Ben Shelton, who reached the semifinals in Stuttgart and ultimately fell to Zverev. Nevertheless, it allowed him to gain a couple of positions to No. 10, displacing Australian Alex De Minaur, who fell to 12th place. Other ascents include Hubert Hurkacz (No. 29, +3), Jiri Lehecka (No. 30, +3), Gabriel Diallo (No. 44, +11), and Zizou Bergs (No. 49, +14).
