After a very exciting week of tennis in the desert, we have a new ATP Rankings that sees Roger Federer out of the top 10 with Norrie closing in on it.
There has not been a lot of movement inside the top 10 after the BNP Paribas Open considering that many of the top players played in the event. None of them reached the final stages of the event which might have something to do with it but there has been plenty of movement outside of the top 10. On top, it's still Djokovic as number one with Medvedev as two and Tsitsipas as three.
Rublev dropped down one spot giving Nadal the 5th and himself the 6th spot. Roger Federer continued his slide (without the protected ranking) and he is now down to 11. Thanks to his slide, Ruud moved up one spot to number 9 with Hurkacz moving up to 10. Norrie won Indian Wells and jumped up 11 spots to number 15. Other players that move up include Basilashvili who is now 27th and Fritz who is 30th.
Several players achieved a new career-high and they are Ruud at 9, Hurkacz at 10 (first male Polish player since 1977 to enter the top 10), Norrie at 15, Karatsev at 22, Korda at 38, Ivashka 43, Duckworth 52, McDonald 55, Rinderkench 65, Brooksby 70, Nakashima 79, Griekspoor 89. Check out the full rankings below.
