ATP Rankings Update: The next generation ascends as Draper and Mpetshi Perricard hit new heights, Sinner still leads

The ATP Rankings have been updated for another week and ahead of the Paris Masters which is set to take place starting on Monday 28 October, it is the next generation that dominates.

Jack Draper won the biggest title of his career at the Vienna Open. He defeated Karen Khachanov 6-4, 7-5 in the final and moved up three spots to a new career high of World No.15. After injury troubles over the years, he is finally finding a home in the sport where he should be.

The same can be said for a younger star in Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard who rose 19 spots this week. The ace machine took the incredible serve to the bank as he defeated Ben Shelton 6-4, 7-6(4) to win the biggest title of his career. He is now World No.31 and from an unknown, he will likely be seeded for next year's Australian Open.

While Jakub Mensik moves up into the top 50 for the first time. Another player to firmly look out for over the next year as he aims to join Draper and co in breaking new ground. A mention too for Jannik Sinner who starts another week at the top and isn't in any danger until the end of the Australian Open at least. Some comfort for him as he heads towards the ATP Finals.
