Nick Kyrgios made his first steps back into action on Tuesday but was left firmly disappointed after a poor loss to Yibing Wu 5-6, 3-6 at the Stuttgart Open.
Kyrgios was bound to show some rust having not played since Tokyo last year but many remarked that he was miles away and that it will be quite hard for him to be ready for Wimbledon.
But the Aussie asked his supporters for patience amid his return to action albeit time is running out ahead of the grass court major after aborted comeback attempts at Indian Wells and the clay court season.
"Be patient with me my fans please…. It’s a process to get back to where I was. I know it’s hard for you to see me perform like today, but I need more time and hopefully can get back to where I was," said Kyrgios on Twitter.
Next up for Kyrgios will be Halle Open which will begin next week on June 19 as he aims to return to some semblance of his Wimbledon form from last year.

- It's been an ongoing issue for too long now. Even though it's not our business to know the details... it's worrisome; disconcerting even. "Gastrointestinal" covers many things. My concern, as an Ulcerative Colitis patient since 1976, is that she has some form of Colitis. I recognize reactions and symptoms. If so, perhaps knowing this others would be encouraged by her own courage in plowing forth while dealing.
