Bryan Brothers knocked out in final Australian Open, Ram/Salisbury among other third round winners

For Bob and Mike Bryan, it is the end of the road in terms of the Australian Open with their third round defeat in Melbourne.

This signals the final time they will be competing in the event and they ended up losing out to Ivan Dodig and Filip Polasek who are the fourth seeds in this years' tournament in a 3-6, 4-6 defeat.
Also through include the likes of Rajeev Ram and Joe Salisbury with the 11th seeds ending the run of the sixth seeds Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos in a 6-4, 7-6 victory.
The 16th seeds though are out in the form of Austin Krajicek and Franko Skugor who were defeated 3-6, 4-6 by the unseeded Santiago Gonzalez and Ken Skupski.
There was also a victory for Henri Kontinen and Jan-Lennard Struff who defeated Simone Bolelli and Benoit Paire in a battle of two experienced pairings albeit being unseeded.
