Carlos Alcaraz congratulated Nadal returning to number two and the Spaniard responded

Rafael Nadal moved up to number two yesterday joining Carlos Alcaraz on top and the duo made history by doing that.

They become the first players from the same country since Agassi and Sampras were ranked number one and two. It's a pretty historic achievement as it's the first time that players outside of the US have done that. Alcaraz marked the moment on social media by posting a photo of them at the Madrid Open earlier this year and writing:

"Momento histórico"

As you can imagine, it means a historical moment in Spanish and Nadal shared that on his history adding a bunch of clapping hands emojis.
