Carlos Alcaraz is seen by many as the heir apparent to the Big Three when
Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal eventually retire from the sport and that is definitely in the mind of the current World No.1 and 24-time Grand Slam champion.
Speaking this week in Malaga, he said that while Jannik Sinner and Holger Rune can also be construed as being up in the reckoning, Alcaraz is the most complete player out of all of them.
He said that it's mainly his 'mentality', 'ability to fight with pressure' and that in his mind, he is not the only one who believes this is the case.
"Carlos is a spectacular player. Also a very good person, with very good values. His entire team, his family, are good people. He's 20 years old, so he has a lot of time," said Djokovic.
"I'm not the only one who says this, but the future of tennis is Alcaraz, also Rune and Sinner, but especially Alcaraz because he has a very complete game. But also he impressed me a lot with his mentality, the ability to fight with pressure. It's very impressive for a young player."
