Fans on social media were left baffled after seeing Greece’s
tennis star
Stefanos Tsitsipas wearing more than $18,000 worth of sweatshirts.
Pictures that appeared on the social media platform X — previously
known as Twitter — showed the current world number six wearing a sweatshirt worth $18,300. That post did not go down well with the fans on social media
who expressed their surprise in an interesting manner.
Tsitsipas had a disappointing end to the year where he was forced
to retire because of a fitness concern during the second group match of the ATP
Finals.
The highlight of the year for the 25-year-old was playing in
the final of the Australian Open where he lost to Serbia’s legendary tennis star
Novak Djokovic in straight sets with a score of 6–3, 7–6(7–4), 7–6(7–5).
In the three other Grand Slams, his best outing came in the French
Open where he was knocked out after losing the semifinal to world number two
Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz in straight sets with a score of 6-2, 6-1, 7-6.
Other than that, Tsitsipas ended up winning just one ATP
title in 2023 which was in Los Cabos in August where he defeated Australia’s Alex
de Minaur in the final with a score of 6-3, 6-4.
