Carlos Alcaraz thus far has got tattoos for every major he has won including an Eiffel Tower for the French Open and accompanying these are the dates in which he won it.
But will that tradition continue when it comes to
Wimbledon. Alcaraz says yes but there are other people who could veto it namely his parents who he said he will need to have a conversation with. Shows that even when you're a world class athlete, you still need your mum and dad's opinion.
“I told my parents just to calm them that it was just the first one in every major (he would get a tattoo), but this is a really big moment,” said Alcaraz.
“Probably I’m going to put the date of this one next to last year’s. I have to discuss with them. The Eiffel Tower one, I didn’t do it yet but I will for sure. This one, I have to talk with them. A little one I can hide.”
But as well as the tattoo tradition, going on holiday to Ibiza will also remain he says as he looks forward to the next step and going to Paris for the
Olympic Games. Also he shared his excitement on teaming with Rafael Nadal.
“I talked to my friends that I went to Ibiza with, last year went pretty well,” he added. “This year it’s going to be a routine, you know every year. I had a few days to go to Ibiza (after the French Open), but this time I will celebrate at home with my friends and family.
“I have huge expectations for the Olympic Games. To be in the village with all the Spanish athletes will be a beautiful moment for me. When the tournament comes around, I’m going for the title. To bring the gold medal for my country. Then when I play with Rafa, we want to try and win the gold medal.”
