Carlos Alcaraz will not play the Monte Carlo Masters 1000. The Murcian was to be measured tomorrow Wednesday April 10 to Felix Auger-Aliassime, but the physical problems that haunt him since Miami have made him not want to risk the important clay court season ahead and that, for the second consecutive year, will not play in Monegasque lands.
Carlitos suffers from a problem in his right arm and we had seen him training with protection in that area in the last days. Finally he has not felt strong enough to play in such an important tournament:
He wrote: "I have been working in Monte Carlo and trying to recover until the last minute from an injured pronator teres in my right arm, but it was not possible and I cannot play! 🥲 I was really looking forward to playing... See you next year!"
