Casper Ruud and Ben Shelton will play the ATP 250 Geneva
The entry list for the 2024 Geneva Open seems to have added more starpower, as Norwegian Casper Ruud and American Ben Shelton have confirmed their participation at the event.
An ATP 250 event, the Geneva Open is scheduled to run from May 19-25, 2024. The clay-court tournament has a rich history, with three-time Grand Slam champion Stan Wawrinka notably capturing his home title on two occasions (2016, 2017).
Ruud, who lifted back-to-back titles in 2021 and 2022, will be making his return to the event. The former World No.2 has had a poor start to the 2024 season, losing in the third third at the 2024 Australian Open. Alternatively, rising American star Ben Shelton will also be competing at the event, with the 21-year old 's most recent appearance being a semifinal showing at the 2024 Dallas Open, where he fell to eventual champion Tommy Paul.
