Cordoba Open organizers making 'maximum effort' for Del Potro return in 2022 edition

Juan Martin Del Potro's return to tennis is again on the agenda after he previously took to court during the US Open with John McEnroe.
Del Potro revealed at the time that 2022 was the goal with the start of the season set to see the Argentine return for the first time since Queen's Club 2019.
With one tournament at least wanting the former US Open champion to be one of their headline names and make his return to action there and that is Cordoba Open in his home country of Argentina.
“It was pleasant news that Del Potro has put on the agenda a possible appearance in Córdoba. We are making the maximum possible effort to acquire him," said Marcelo Denti, director of the Cordoba Open loosely translated.
