Davis Cup Finals set for a stage in Manchester

The group stages of the Davis Cup Finals will be played in Manchester in September as decided by the International Tennis Federation recently.

Last year we saw that stage of the event played in Glasgow with several countries booking a knock-out stage spot. Great Britain wasn't one of those teams as they failed to secure qualification but the hope is that things will go better this time around. It will be the first time Manchester has hosted the Finals since 1994.

The group stage will be played between September 12th and 17th with the draw taking place on Wednesday. The draw will be streamed on the ITF Youtube page with 16 competing nations drawn into four groups of four nations. Group winners and runner-ups will continue the competition and advance to the knock-out stage that will be played in Malaga in November.
