As the
Wimbledon draw is now out we know which players might face each other in the projected quarterfinals of this year's Wimbledon.
Obviously, that will largely depend on their play and whether they even reach the quarterfinals but grass is a surface that generally rewards the better player so it's widely expected most of them will be there. The first one is
Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcarza and what a quarterfinal that would be. Their Madrid match was spectacular and Alcaraz won it.
The 2nd one is between
Hubert Hurkacz and
Casper Ruud. This one seems a bit unlikely considering how Ruud plays on grass but Hurkacz played in the semifinal last year so he certainly would fancy his chances in this one.
Matteo Berrettini and
Stefanos Tsitsipas would be the next one and while many expect Berrettini to be the trickiest opponent for Djokovic and the 2nd favourite overall he would certainly be favoured against Tsitsipas who will play his maiden grass final today.
The final one would be between
Rafael Nadal and Auger-Aliassime and we actually saw that match yesterday at Hurlingham. Auger won it in three sets. A possible rematch would certainly deliver more drama after their epic 5-set battle in Paris.
