Novak Djokovic may have forgotten how to lose, as the World No.1 made quick of Jan-Lennard Struff to advance at the US Open.

The Serbian has compiled a 26-0 record in 2020, with the latest being a 6-3 6-3 6-1 drubbing of Struff in the third round at Flushing Meadows. Djokovic now improves to 5-0 against the big-serving German, and looks like the man to beat in New York.
The top seed was never troubled on serve, as he saved all four break points faced. He employed a technically sound game that consisted of him dictating play from the baseline and finishing points at the net. The Serbian was particular successful at the net, winning 19 of 22 points. His impenetrable defense frustrated Struff, who was forced to take more risks with each game. This led to the German committing 32 unforced errors, although he did manage to hit eight aces.
Struff managed to keep up with the Serbian in the first set, before dropping serve at 3-4. Djokovic would go on to win five consecutive games, as Struff was simply outplayed by his opponent. After a valiant but futile effort in the second set, Struff all but threw in the towel. The World No.1 would go on to steamroll through the 28th seed, winning the final five games and completing his victory in an hour and 42 minutes.
Looking almost untouchable, Djokovic will face 20th seed Pablo Carreno-Busta for a spot in the quarterfinals. The Spaniard defeated Ricardas Berankis 6-4 6-3 6-2 to advance to the round of 16.
