Novak Djokovic had no issues against
Christian Garin in the 4th round of
Wimbledon beating him 6-2 6-4 6-2.
It was a powerful performance from Djokovic who continued winning on the grass by beating Christian Garin in straight sets. The Serbian played a much better match than against Kudla and it showed on the score. Djokovic jumped out to an early lead against Garin and he never looked back.
The Serbian forced Garin to play a style of play that doesn't suit him and resulted in only one winner compared to 9 errors which was enough to win the set with 6-2. Garin played a much better 2nd set even forcing a break point early but after saving it Djokovic slowly took control of the match.
Garin was able to save numerous break points early in the set but by the end of it, Djokovic found a way and won the set with 6-4. The 3rd set was a masterclass of tennis by Djokovic who hit 3 times as many winners as Garin did en route to the 6-2 finish.
A great showing from Djokovic who completely overpowered his opponent as he should have. The Serbian is peaking up form in the way he intended to and he will be the favourite moving forward.
