Novak Djokovic is hopeful about winning the ATP Finals explaining how it would be the perfect ending to the season.
Djokovic has had a couple of amazing weeks on Tour since it shifted indoors but he was unable to win the trophy in Paris last week. Dane Holger Rune proved better leaving Djokovic even more determined to succeed at the ATP Finals.
He was superb last year but finished his event in the semi-final. This year, he hopes to go all the way:
"[It would be] a perfect ending [to the season]. The cherry on the cake, for sure, but it’s a long way. It’s a long week."
He's fully aware what type of challenge awaits him as he's playing against some of the best players in the world in Turin:
“You’ve got to play the best players in the world [here]. You have to play more or less everyone in this tournament at least once, so I look forward to it. I’ve had experience in this tournament, in this format, many times and hopefully that can serve me in a good way.”
He finished off with:
“I’m motivated and I’m looking forward to a challenge. I think the intensity is going to be really high, right from the blocks I have to be focused like I’m playing finals. Each match is going to be this way.”
