Patrick Mouratoglou is a household name in the world of tennis and the coach of Serena Williams shared his views on Wimbledon. For him, the clear favourite is Novak Djokovic which is something many tennis analysts would agree with. He said:
“Novak is definitely favourite. The golden slam is a lot of pressure, he knows he can and he knows he can overtake the two other guys and that is his goal. He wants to be the one with the most Grand Slams, so that’s going to be the biggest challenge for him to deal with that pressure."
Djokovic has dealt with immense pressure and his career and there are not many players that have better mental fortitude than Djokovic. For Mouratoglou handling the pressure will be key for Novak but the Serbian has yet to disappoint in that regard.
Djokovic will take on Jack Draper on Day 1 of Wimbledon which is a very tough first-round match especially for Djokovic who tends to play himself into peak form as the Grand Slam progresses.
