Tennis analyst and former pro Daniela Hantuchova believes Djokovic's outbursts on court show how much he cares as she predicts him for a great
US Open showing.
The last time
Novak Djokovic played tennis competitively he was suffered one of the greatest disappointments in his career. The Serbian was losing out on a medal at the Tokyo Olympics Games before forfeiting a chance to compete for another one. The journey was a gruelling one for Djokovic as he revealed suffering from injuries as well as fatigue.
It prompted him to take significant time off electing not to play any event before the US Open. Tennis analyst Daniela Hantuchova believes Djokovic will come back strong at the US Open due to his competitiveness which is often reflected in his outbursts:
“This is his personality, he’s not Rafa, he’s not Roger. It shows how much he cares and how competitive he is. I think it’s good that all three are so different in so many ways and it allows us to enjoy what they have done over the last 20 years for our game.”
She believes the Tokyo disappointment will light a fire in Djokovic and he will come back even stronger in New York:
“I feel losing in Tokyo could be good for him because he is always
good at reacting to a setback and everything is lined up for him to do
it. He will face
pressure trying to do something so special, but this is when he feels
the most comfortable for me, when he has pressure.”
