The WTA Race to Shenzhen has been largely unchanged for a few weeks but several players are making a push for a place at the event.

Ashleigh Barty is leading the Race to Shenzen comfortably and it's only a matter of time when the Australian will mathematically ensure a place at the event. Barbora Krejcikova had another solid outing in Cincinnati which allowed her to move to number two ahead of Aryna Sabalenka who is now 3rd.

Karolina Pliskova is not far away at number 4 while Iga Swiatek holds number 5. Naomi Osaka is at number with the Japanese player being in danger of missing out on the event being fairly close to players outside the top 8. Garbine Muguruza holds number 7 ahead of Ons Jabeur at number 8.

Several players are very close in terms of points and they will fight for one of those spots at the WTA Finals in Shenzen. Gauff is at 9, Pegula moved up 3 spots to number 10 while Pavlyuchenkova, Mertens, Sakkari, Badosa and Kerber all have chances to make it. Check it out below.
