Dominic Thiem advances in Munich after Lestienne retirement

Dominic Thiem earned another win this year but it comes after his opponent retired at the start of the second set after the Austrian won the first one.

Thiem played Lestienne in the first round of the Munich Open and he started well by breaking his opponent in the first game. The French player broke back in the next game but Thiem once again took the lead with another break 3-1. He was playing really well but his game varied a lot so Lestienne was able to break back once more and make it 3-3.

He then broke Lestienne once more and finally won the set 6-3 with no play following after that. Lestienne retired at the start of the second set sending Thiem to the next round of the Munich Open.
