"Don't feel too much right now" - Alcaraz optimistic about trophy despite rolled ankle

Carlos Alcaraz was able to overcome Zeppieri in three sets but he rolled his ankle in the 2nd set that required medical attention.

Alcaraz had a painful expression on his face when it happened and he was showing signs of discomfort as the match went on but kept playing through it. It required an MTO where they taped it heavily and after the match, Alcaraz brushed it off as minor saying he doesn't feel much:

“At the moment it is good. I don’t feel too much right now. Let’s see tonight or tomorrow morning, but I am going to say I will be ready for the final. It would be amazing in my 100th match to get the win, and of course, it is amazing to be No. 4 on Monday. It’s something great for me, but right now I am just focused on the final.”

Alcaraz will have a chance to secure a 2nd trophy in Umag and it's a special place for him:

“It’s amazing to be in a final here again. I enjoy playing here in Umag and I’m really happy with the win today.”

The final starts at 20:00 CET.
