Alexander Zverev lost to Ugo Humbert in three sets at the NOVENTI OPEN in Halle and the German was not sure what he could have done differently.
It was not a good day in Halle for Alexander Zverev who lost 6-7(4) 6-3 3-6 against Ugo Humbert. The Frenchman put forward a stunning performance, especially that was centred around his exceptional serving. The Frenchman's game work wells in the almost indoor conditions of the Halle main court and it was on full display.
After the match Zverev said:
“I don’t particularly know what I could have done differently, to be honest. Ugo was serving incredibly well in the first set, we both barely won points on each other’s serve. Then in the third set, I think he found his rhythm from the baseline. He was outplaying me. It is not a great result for me, but I don’t know what I could have done differently.”
Zverev will now shift focus to Wimbledon to prepare for the 3rd Slam of the season where conditions are rather different than in Halle. The court is a bit slower and surrounding affect play more.
