This includes some of the stars of Team World's Laver Cup team who will have a quick turnaround from the competition. These are John Isner and Denis Shapovalov. Isner earlier defeated Alexander Zverev in the competition and he will begin proceedings in Chengdu against either Zhe Li or Egor Gerasimov.
This could be a banana skin for the American especially if it is Gerasimov due to him reaching the latter stages in St Petersburg. Shapovalov will play in the first round and in a tough test against Ricardas Berankis.
Taylor Fritz also from Team World is in action and he will face Alexander Bublik in his first round. Felix Auger-Aliassime is also playing in this event as second seed and after a bye; he will face the resurgent Hyeon Chung or another player who is in the latter stages in St Petersburg currently in Joao Sousa.
Sousa faces Borna Coric in the semi-finals in Russia and so could come into this tournament as one of the most dangerous players in the draw similar to Gerasimov.
British pair Kyle Edmund and Dan Evans as well as Benoit Paire are also in the line-up in a stacked field set to take to the court in China.
