The draw has been released for the Shanghai Masters which takes place from October 6 til October 13 as the hard court swing in Asia continues.
This continues with some of the World's biggest names involved in proceedings in what is an ATP 1000 Masters event. Only Rafael Nadal is a particular absentee and he initially was entered but had to pull out due to injury.
The likes of Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray and Daniil Medvedev are all part of a tough field though. Djokovic is number one seed; he could start his tournament against two dangerous non seeded players in Frances Tiafoe or Denis Shapovalov.
Federer will have Marin Cilic or Albert Ramos-Vinolas to contend with. Murray who will be confident after his brilliance as of late on his comeback; will face either Sam Querrey or Fabio Fognini.
Some of the best ties to begin in the first round include Tiafoe and Shapovalov as well as Borna Coric taking on Andrey Rublev. Alex de Minaur against John Isner is also one to look out for. Overall a brilliant week of action is to come in Shanghai with some of the World's best gunning to end the hard court swing on a high.
